Do I need to make lunch or dinner reservations?

We recommend making a dinner reservation on Thursday, then join us for cocktails to kickstart the weekend. Lunch and Snacks will be served on Saturday, but if you wish to have dinner, we encourage you to book a formal reservation. See Things To Do tab for some local recommendations. Lunch reservations are not necessary.

What form of payment should I bring?

Credit cards (Mastercard & Visa) are generally accepted on the island but we do recommend bringing cash for tips and taxis. Please note American Express cards will be charged a higher processing fee (5%).

Where is the closest ATM?

A cash machine or ATM can be found at the RBC branch at the top of Dunmore Street (The Bahamian dollar is pegged to the US dollar, and both currencies are accepted throughout the island).

How do I get a water taxi?

Water taxis will run all day and range from $5-$10. You may be picked up and dropped off at the Government Dock which is in the center of town.

Where is the best place to get groceries & liquor?

Jimmy’s Liquor store is right outside of the ELH airport, you can stop there on your way over. They will have an assortment of liquor, beer and wine. There are plenty of shops on Harbour Island as well. There are convenience stores in Dunmore Town- see Things to Do tab for more details.

Please note: not all hotel rooms on Harbour Island have refrigerators.

Where is the closest medical facility?

What are the passport requirements?

Your passport needs to be valid for 6 months AFTER your departure date. Please check as soon as possible to allow for any necessary renewals.
